The Next Act is excited to announce the schedule of events for the second half of the 2021 season at the historic Astra Theatre. It has been a quiet 16 months since the facilities were shuttered due to the pandemic, but it is now ready to bring live entertainment back to the JIm & Pat Thyen Performance Stage. ickets and more details for events are available via Eventbrite here.
Local band StyReo will kick things off with a live performance on Saturday, August 21. This Jasper based band brings all the best of Styx and REO.
Bluesy, rocking and thoroughly Southern American musician Paul Thorn is scheduled for Saturday, September 11.
A yet to be announced movie will play on Friday, September 17 in conjunction with the Heart of Jasper Farm to Table event.
Raiders of the Lost Ark will be shown on Friday, October 8.
The always entertaining Rock Lotto will take over the Astra Theatre on Saturday, November 20.
Finally, two Christmas movies will finish out the second half of the 2021 season. A yet to be announced movie geared towards kids will be shown on Saturday, December 4, while a more adult Christmas movie will play on Saturday, December 18.

By entering the venue, you assume all the risks associated with COVID-19. Furthermore you release Next Act, Inc and all affiliated parties from all liability associated with COVID-19.
For all shows, the Astra is recommending that all attendees of our events must wear masks, regardless of vaccination status. Masks that cover the nose and mouth are recommended to be kept on while not in your seat while in the venue. All audience members should bring their own mask and wear it as you enter the building. Single-use masks will be available if needed. These regulations will apply to all members of your party before they are allowed entry into the event and to any users of the tickets purchased by you.
Additionally, for the September 11 Paul Thorn concert at the Astra, per the artist’s requirements, patrons must show proof of full vaccination or 48 hour negative test administered by a healthcare professional to enter the building.
The historic Astra Theatre is located in the heart of downtown Jasper, Indiana. Newly renovated with 357 seats, the Astra has main level and balcony seating with a concessions stand offering snacks and drinks that are available for purchase during the events.
