Next Act, Inc., will bring the 1960 horror-thriller movie Psycho back to the silver screen on Friday, October 21, and the cult-classic The Rocky Horror Picture Show on Saturday, October 29, at the historic Astra Theatre.
The screening of Psycho is in partnership with and presented by the Jasper Downtown Merchant’s Association in conjunction with their seventh annual “Evening of Appetizers”. Most stores on and near the square in downtown Jasper will be open the evening of October 21 until 8 p.m. The Astra’s historic doors will open at 7:30 p.m. that evening with Pyscho beginning at 8:15 p.m. Tickets are only $6 and can be purchased in advance at here www.itickets.com/events/

“Adding a movie to our annual Evening of Appetizers event makes this a perfect date night opportunity,” said Ann Recker, president of the Downtown Merchant’s Association, as well as owner of Chocolate Bliss. “Stroll downtown Jasper on a crisp fall evening, visit our wonderful local specialty shops while sampling free appetizers, and cap it off with a seasonally-appropriate movie—this is certain to be a special evening!”
The October 29th screening of The Rocky Horror Picture Show is sponsored by Libby’s Ice Cream. Doors will open at 6 p.m. with the movie set to begin at 7 p.m. Tickets are $6 and can be purchased in advance here www.itickets.com/events/367564.html or at the door the night of the show.
