The anticipation of getting regular events rolling again at our beloved Astra Theatre has us all giddy with excitement! Shuttering the theatre gave us the unforeseen chance to further realize just what it is that we so love about this historic piece of Jasper, IN. So, we have decided to share some information that we find fascinating with a little something we are calling #TuesdayTidbits. Tidbit #1: An Indianapolis firm began construction on the facilities in 1935. At this time, the Gutzweiler family was running the Tivoli Theatre across the square.
